Three Counties Produce is part of the Thompson greengrocer family business with over 100 years of experience providing fresh fruit, vegetables and fish to the community, since its humble beginnings selling fish in Angel Place Worcester.
The Thompson family business is now in its 4th generation having gone through many transformations from its early market stalls to over 30 high street retail outlets and providing fresh produce for supermarkets, industry, restaurants, farm shops and schools.
The high street retail side of the company has been noted for being one of its market leaders, having been chosen by the BBC for a TV programme. It still continues to trade from its Church Street shop in Worcester.
The current directors Rob Thompson and James Thompson both started working for the family business from an early age enjoying the morning trips to Birmingham wholesale market with their father Terry Thompson.
They now show a huge passion for providing locally sourced produce for the catering trade using the abundant resources within the three counties. Forming relationships with local farmers as well as using local markets such as Birmingham’s famous wholesale market to provide global produce.
